Alright I know the gag of people asking for spoilers has been run into the ground by this point but I think it’s still funny so here goes:

Hey can you describe the upcoming plot in very specific detail? Actually maybe you could draw it so it’s easier to follow the action. Although drawing and writing all of that at once might be a lot to handle, so you could release it in batches every once in a while instead of all at once. It would be like some sort of webcomic! Then we could read the updates and learn the plot as we get new pages! What a neat concept, am I right?

idk man, that seems like a great concept, but I'm afraid it's a bit far-fetched.

Do you really think anyone would read that? Like, pay attention to the dialogue and understand what the characters are saying? Figure out small bits of foreshadowing in order to theorize effectively about what could happen next? Consider larger themes and put them together with how the characters act to understand the author's intended meaning beyond just the surface-level, at-face-value reading and shallow interpretation of only what is immediately apparent on the page?

It feels like it could be something... but I just don't know.

DANNY PHANTOM FIC RECOMMENDATION!!!

Mother Knows Best by MayAnny

Instead of his best friends, Danny only had his ghost hunting parents to witness how his life was ruined by the Ghost Portal.

Danny’s parents can’t bring themselves to destroy the ghost of their son. They keep him, clinging onto the hope that he can keep his humanity, while knowing that realistically, sooner or later he’ll become just another ghost.

The canon of this fic closer follows the Fentons’ hypotheses on ghosts, but not entirely. But as more of their hypotheses are proven right, they become less hopeful that Danny will stay Danny.

Danny of course, does not have a great time here. He’s being treated differently, his body is acting differently, he’s affecting those around him differently, and he’s afraid.

I usually do not like fics where ghosts follow any of the Fentons’ hypotheses, but this one is done extremely well and perfectly shows the humanity in Danny’s inhumanity. It is incomplete with 6 chapters and 28k words, but leaves off at a relatively satisfying spot.

I can’t recommend it enough.

But we're going back to Buck and Eddie plots focused on each other. Think about the times of the most Buddie hope. Not Buddie domesticity. Not Buddie acting like they're together. Buddie acting like they're about to get together.

Most people will even say they first clocked it at 3x03. And I paused and freaked out at Buck's 5x18 line. But you can't have those moments without

We love the sweet moments. The domestic moments...But notice how they're mostly in seasons 4-6. We have them in 2 and 3, 100%...but those seasons are much more stressful for Buck and Eddie.

Because those seasons, Buck and Eddie's plot conflicts were elsewhere. Because they weren't allowed to be on each other.

This wasn't hope. It was stalling. A technophobe plot? Whether Buck will get a couch? That's filler. They acted like they were together. But that also means: no momentum.
